Chaotic oufit combos, a vintage sunglass hack and my big shirt roundup x
I promise not to turn into one of those newsletter girlies who share long affiliate link coded gift guides (I skip those posts too!) BUT once in awhile I do want to find a longer format opportunity to share with you all the things I’m live laughing loving…
Denim Jorts: I’m going to start with what I’ve been living in lately because that’s easy for me, duhh. Denim Jorts: Mine are from Levi’s, I think the sizing is pretty accurate, I usually size up but I’m wearing my regular size here. These shorts represent what I like about the in between months where you can show a little bit of skin but still be in a look.

The Rugby Shirt: Now she is vintage but I love this Kotn Rugby Shirt $148 alternative. My boots are from Arket, which sadly don’t ship to the US but I think these ones from Cos are very similar.
This turtleneck layered under shirt combo is my current go to when it’s cold and I want to wear layers but don’t want to look like frosty the snowman. I am also obsessed with this leather woven tote that’s from Madewell — I have to say that Madewell is kind of killing it right now and I am here for it, it looks very Bottega / Little Liffner inspired but at a fraction of the price. The price point of $188 for this piece is pretty spectacular. It’s a pretty good one for travel too.
Wearing them with my Jacque Marie Mage gradient glasses (once in a lifetime opportunity to buy these, as you may know already — only 200 per style are made) vintage coat but similar styles here and here, the Toteme suede and shearling boots (now 40% off here) that I’ve been told are glam Uggs and an oversized button down which is from the defunct brand Entireworld (may she rest in peace)
Sunglass Hack: If the Jacque Marie’s are out of your price range and you find vintage sunglasses or frames that you like, you can always take them to a local optometrist and ask them to change the lenses to a 5-10% gradient. I did that with these Oakleys I found here and the purple lens.
The Big Shirt: Speaking of the button-down, there is always a reason and a season for a button-down shirt. I can safely say that she is one of the most used items in my wardrobe. While most of them are vintage (the men’s rack at any Goodwill/ Savers/ Salvation Army are clutch — if you aren’t familiar with the brand, look for materials like cotton or linen) , here are some good styles on the market that I feel like are worth a mention.
GAP’s Organic Big Cotton Shirt, $48 — I love the pink and red stripe combo here but I have a few of these and they wash and wear super nice. The fit is similar to a vintage men’s oversized which is nice and hard to find at retail!
Kule’s Blanca Shirt, $268 — I have this in both Sand and Black, the sheerness of it lends itself well to a dressier/ evening time moment.
Mango’s Striped Polo Shirt Combined $59 — Now this combines my two favorite things, the rugby and the button down. A gorgeous hybrid.
Madewell Men’s Denim Shirt $98 — wearing this with my absolute favorite, the Patagonia Cotton Essential Pant in White $89 — the tea is that I own these in 3 different colors. This is a sweatpant disguised as an item of real clothing (a true blessing) I think it’s the slightly flared cropped cut.

Another unexpected and chaotic combo that made the cut as a dinner outfit this week was this Shirt x Tie x Leather Vetst x Fur mess. Wearing here with the Khaite Suede Tote in Maeve
A vintage sparkly mule: similar styles here and here . I snagged these from Vestiaire and was surprised at how fast they came! I always assumed that they would take longer being in Europe but I’ve had TRR items take longer so… consider me a new user. This was my first purchase from the website. Vestiaire feels like an elevated Postmark to me — I love having the option to make an offer. I feel like the offers almost always get accepted if they’re within reason.
The Sporty Pant: I am obsessed with these Relax Lacrosse Sport Navy Stripe Pants. I’ve worn them pretty much non stop since I’ve got them with vintage tees and knits. This combo platter was a from a lunch date with my two friends Isaac and Doug. I made Doug take this on Broadway in Soho, which is truly an unforgivable offense as a New Yorker but I had a cute outfit that I wanted to document!!!!!! Sue me. Pictured here with my Kule striped shirt (looks like the green is sold out but this brown is cute too) and this Eliou necklace that’s on sale and so much more. They also have very cute kids shorts.

I’ll finish off with this. I had a birthday since the last post. 36!!!
It was truly a magnificent day. Jon took me to Aire Ancient Baths and Bubbys for pancakes. I had no makeup, wet hair and a big baggy tee and jeans for the entire day. I feel like this is actually my most lived instate, so please don’t be fooled by any of the pictures above. Most of the time I am covered in baby food and dog fur, so in the rare moment that I do have it together — I like to document it. I am still figuring out what my new postpartum style is. Yes, I know that Frankie is 13 months.. I’ll probably be still calling myself postpartum till she’s in college. Until next time, thanks for stepping outside with me. Ciao for now - ax
