I love this advice although my boyf will hate it! There should probably be a “partners of thrift store gremlins” support group…. Also, I feel so vindicated that AuctionNinja is on there. There is some crazy stuff on there, like an brutalist Tabago armoire for $700 (right now on 1st Dibs for $3,600).
I loveee auction ninja and ebth! The "score" is such a huge part of the journey for me -- so purchasing something resale at retail prices or higher sucks. I feel like with those two and patience you can find a good deal :)
I was just thinking of this post randomly and wondered if you've ever heard of booksalefinder.com? It's such a great way to find used book sales, and I find sales there I don't see listed anywhere else. I went to this book barn sale in a gigantic storage warehouse once and the finds were crazy. Plus I absolutely love the web design.
